The Fool
Upright position:
Words: Vulnerability, gullibility,
inexperience, immaturity, naiveté, ideals, unrealistic ideals, innocence,
potential, self discovery
Phrases: A new chance. A fresh
start. An opportunity. A leap into the unknown. The need for
caution. An open and highly imaginative mind. The start of an
adventure. The beginning of a journey. Embarking on a new spiritual phase
of life. A new phase in life. Full of good intentions and innocence.
Advice: The Fool represents
both the beginning and the ending of each leg of our journey
through life. When the Fool (upright) appears in a
client's spread, it signals he/she is ready to embark on a new
phase of life, a new adventure and all that goes with it: the
newness, the feelings of inexperience, starting at the bottom
and working up, but also the excitement, curiosity, open
mindedness, ready for anything attitude that goes along with it.

Advice: The Fool (reversed)
still represents the beginning of a new phase of our journey
through life. It points out though that the client is not

attitude needs to change. The words, "Think before
you leap." come to mind. The client should carefully
consider the situation, be more cautious, less
impulsive.
